Conpolycem Micro Concrete is a ready-to-use, polymer-modified, fibre-reinforced repair mortar (or micro-concrete) formulated for structural concrete repairs. It’s designed to be non-shrink and to have good flowability, so that it can fill damaged concrete sections, honeycombs, or deteriorated concrete in beams, columns, piers etc., even in places where placement of normal concrete is difficult. It gains strength early, bonds well with old concrete, and is formulated to be impermeable and durable.
Specifications
It is supplied as a dry powder mix; just add water on site.
Achieves high early compressive strength (about 45 MPa in 7 days).
Can be applied in layers up to around 100 mm thickness per layer (for repairs vertical or horizontal).
The mix is chloride-free and non-toxic, so it does not contribute to corrosion of reinforcement.
It is non-shrink; the formulation compensates for shrinkage so that cracks due to shrinkage are minimized.
Very good bond strength with existing concrete.
Low permeability, so it resists ingress of water or harmful agents.
Sulphate resistant.
Advantages
Because it flows well, it can fill voids, honeycombing, and damaged parts without needing vibration or compaction.
Early strength gain means repaired elements regain load-bearing capacity fast.
Non-shrinking nature prevents cracking or separation between old & new concrete.
Good bonding ensures the repair acts integrally with existing concrete structure.
Low permeability helps resist moisture ingress, thereby protecting reinforcement from corrosion.
Chloride-free, so safer for reinforced concrete than materials that may introduce chlorides.
Ease of use (just water needed), consistent quality (factory formulated) reduces workmanship errors.
Application Areas
Repair of damaged reinforced concrete elements such as beams, columns, piers, walls, etc.
Repairing honeycombs in new concrete during construction.
Structural patching / rehabilitation work on deteriorated concrete surfaces.
Where placement, compaction or vibration is difficult or restricted.
Vertical or horizontal repairs; patching repairs up to ~100 mm thickness per layer.
Marine or coastal structures (due to chloride-free formulation) subject to harsh environments.
Industrial structures and infrastructure (bridges, structural slabs, etc.) where durability is important.
